Are Rowland Manifolds guaranteed?

Manufacturing quality is guaranteed. Once the manifold has been fitted adjusted (or any other modifications are made) the manufacturing guarantee expires. There should be no need to return any of our products as we follow the strictest quality control protocols, including testing.

How do I know I am getting a Rowland Manifold and not a generic one?

All of our moulds have an authentication stamp and MODEL NUMBER which is transferred to the manifold. If you are offered a manifold that does not have our stamp on it – it was not manufactured by us.

What is an Intake Manifold and what does it do?

An intake manifold is a crucial component in a car's engine. It sits on top of the engine and distributes the air-fuel mixture to each cylinder's intake port.

Here’s a bit more detail:

Air Distribution: The intake manifold ensures that the air-fuel mixture is evenly distributed to all the engine’s cylinders. This is important for engine efficiency and performance.

Mixing Air and Fuel: In some engines, the intake manifold also helps mix air with fuel before it's sent to the cylinders.

Power Impact: A well-designed intake manifold can improve an engine's power and efficiency by optimizing airflow. Better airflow can lead to more complete combustion of the air-fuel mixture, which translates to more power. Performance intake manifolds often have larger or specially shaped ports to improve airflow.

In essence, the intake manifold plays a key role in delivering the right amount of air and fuel mixture to the engine cylinders for efficient combustion, directly impacting the car’s performance.

Will a Rowland intake manifold increase my vehicle's speed and performance?

Yes, a Rowland intake manifold can increase your vehicle's speed and performance.

Here are some reasons why:

Optimized Airflow: Rowland manifolds are designed to improve airflow to the engine, which can result in better combustion and increased power output.

Custom Design: They offer custom designs tailored to specific engine setups, ensuring that the manifold works efficiently with your engine's configuration.

High-Quality Materials: Rowland uses high-quality materials that can withstand high temperatures and provide durability, contributing to better performance and longevity.

Performance Tuning: Many users have reported significant performance gains after installing Rowland manifolds, especially when paired with other performance upgrades like upgraded carburettors or fuel injection systems.

Overall, a Rowland intake manifold can be a valuable upgrade for enhancing your vehicle's speed and performance.

How does an intake manifold increase speed in a vehicle?

An intake manifold can boost a car's speed by optimizing how air and fuel are delivered to the engine's cylinders.

Here’s how:

Improved Airflow: A well-designed intake manifold enhances the airflow into the engine, ensuring that each cylinder gets the right amount of air. Better airflow helps the engine to breathe more efficiently, which can lead to improved combustion and increased power output.

Efficient Combustion: By providing a balanced and consistent air-fuel mixture, the intake manifold helps achieve more complete combustion. This efficiency means the engine can produce more power with each combustion cycle, translating to better performance and potentially higher speeds.

Reduced Air Resistance: Performance intake manifolds often have smooth, large, and specially shaped runners to reduce resistance and turbulence in the airflow. This allows the engine to draw in air more easily, which can contribute to higher engine speeds and better acceleration.

Performance Tuning: Some intake manifolds are designed specifically for high-performance applications, with features like shorter or longer runners to optimize the power band for higher RPMs. This can result in more power at the top end of the engine's rev range, which can increase speed.

Boosting Efficiency: In turbocharged or supercharged engines, the intake manifold helps manage the increased air pressure, ensuring that the engine makes the most of the forced induction. This can significantly enhance power output and, consequently, speed.

In essence, the intake manifold contributes to an engine's overall efficiency and performance, directly impacting the car's ability to accelerate and achieve higher speeds. The right design and setup can make a noticeable difference for those looking to extract more performance from their vehicles. ??

What is a Turbo Manifold from Rowland Manifolds and why would I need it when upgrading?

A turbo manifold is a critical component of an engine's exhaust system. It collects exhaust gases from each cylinder and channels them into a single pipe, thereby making the turbo spin quicker. Here’s a closer look at its role and why you might need to upgrade it, especially for your older Volkswagen:

What an Exhaust Manifold Does:

Collects Exhaust Gases: It gathers exhaust gases from the engine's cylinders and directs them to the exhaust system.

Improves Engine Efficiency: By efficiently directing exhaust gases away from the engine, it helps maintain optimal engine performance and efficiency. EGT – EXHAUST GAS TEMPERATURE is lowered.

Why Upgrade the Turbo Manifold:

Performance Enhancement: Upgraded turbo manifolds, are designed to improve the flow of exhaust gases. This can reduce back pressure and allow the engine to breathe more freely, which can result in increased horsepower and torque. They decrease the EGT – Exhaust gas temperature, lowering it extensively.

Here’s a bit more detail:

Reducing Heat: High-quality turbo manifolds can also help reduce the amount of heat retained in the engine bay, which can be beneficial for overall engine health and performance. Once again, we refer to EGT – exhaust gas temperature lowering/decrease in temperature.

Tuning and Sound: Performance turbo manifolds can change the sound of your car, giving it a more aggressive or tuned exhaust note, which can be desirable for many car enthusiasts.

So, if you’re upgrading, installing a performance turbo manifold can be a significant improvement. It can boost your car's power, efficiency, and even its sound, making your driving experience more enjoyable.

What is sandcasting and why do Rowland Manifolds prefer this for intake manifolds and turbo manifolds?

Choosing a sandcast intake manifold for a performance vehicle offers several advantages:

Here are the advantages

Customization: Sandcasting allows for greater flexibility in design, enabling manufacturers to create custom shapes and sizes tailored to specific performance needs2.

Improved Airflow: The process allows for smoother internal surfaces and larger passages, which can enhance airflow and improve engine efficiency2.

Cost-Effective: A custom sandcast manifold from us, is more cost effective for the consumer and motor enthusiasts.

In summary, a sandcast intake manifold can provide better airflow, and offer greater customization, all of which contribute to improved performance and efficiency in a performance vehicle. ??

Why are sandcast turbo manifolds better for performance and durability?

A sandcast exhaust manifold offers several performance and durability advantages, making it a popular choice for high-performance vehicles:

Here are the advantages

Performance Advantages:

Improved Airflow: The sandcasting process allows for smoother and more optimized internal ports, reducing turbulence and back pressure. This helps exhaust gases flow more efficiently, which can enhance engine performance and increase horsepower.

Customization: Sandcasting allows for tailored designs that can be optimized for specific engine configurations. This means you can get a manifold designed to maximize performance for your particular engine setup.
